Rare Cask Series

A covetable and collectable ongoing series of exceptional whiskies aged in hand selected, internationally renowned rare casks.

Lark’s reputation as pioneers of quality Australian Whisky allows for their brand to take an endorsing role in this offer. The consistent series architecture ensures brand recognition across future releases while celebrating the unique story of each rare cask. A true collaborative journey.

Full of premium finishes and discoverable details, there is a sense of theatre during each unboxing. Each bottle is finished with a copper medallion that has been meticulously handcrafted from a decommissioned Lark copper pot still, a credible reminder of Lark's rich and exciting history.

Mizunara Cask

The fourth release is a vibrant celebration of Japanese craftsmanship. Lark Single Malt Whisky, finished in one of rarest and most expensive types of oak in the world - Mizunara Oak.

Working with Yuko Shimizu, award winning and internationally recognised Japanese illustrator to craft a contemporary expression of the authentic artform of Ukiyo-e (traditional woodblock style of storytelling).

The design's unique expression mirrors the precision and craftsmanship behind the rare cask and product offer.

Brokenwood

The third release is a partnership with a renowned and reputable local icon. Lark Single Malt Whisky, finished in the award winning 2018 Brokenwood’s Graveyard Shiraz Cask.

Inspired by the earthy and textural environments found at the Cellardoor, the design uses premium print finishes to bring to life the bespoke illustrations created exclusively for Brokenwood by internationally renowned local artist James Gulliver Hancock.
