Bilpin. Population 844.
Discovered by Archibald Bell in 1823, tucked away in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, Bilpin’s fertile soil, mountain elevation and mild climate saw the area quickly develop into one of Australia’s premium apple growing regions.
Bilpin cider is made purely from hand picked, freshly crushed apples grown in the orchards that surround the township. The simplicity of the process called for a design to match – a vibrant “Granny smith green” colour scheme combined with a quaint, modern, farmer’s market layout.
We even customised the carton dieline to include handles on the side – a nod to the fruit crates that are still used today to collect the apples – after all – Bilpin cider is essentially a box of apples, made fun.
A cider crafted from Pink Lady apples rather than Bilpin’s usual Granny Smiths, means a much sweeter finish. Naturally.
Made from nothing but hand picked, freshly crushed Australian grown Pink Lady apples – Blush is the natural alternative for those who prefer the sweeter things in life.
Getting noticed on premise is a challenge for emerging brands, but it doesn’t come cheap. Nothing a bit of lateral thinking & calling in a few favours can’t fix. Keep an eye out for these bespoke Granny Smith bar taps coming to a bar near you.
